Spouse of student do I need a visa?

Hi good day,

I have been searching online and trying to call our embassy but have not had any luck. Our case is simple, my wife was accepted to a university but I do not know if I the spouse has to get a tourist visa in order to enter? Everywhere I read it points me to the open job permit but do I still need a visa or ahould I just use the permit to enter Canada?
Can someone please assist me?
