new here and I have a question, I hope you guys know more on this topic. My spouse received an open work permit through my application for student permit. I am now in Canada, but my spouse is in US working there in higher ed.. We did not have any problems when crossing the border into Canada in the past, but I am wondering if the new changes to the work permit legislation could affect my spouse's future visits here. I saw something on TV a few months ago about Canada changing the law for work permits, and I am wondering if we will be affected by these changes. As I said, I am a grad student here, my spouse has a work permit which was not used because of job engagements in US.
