Spouse lost status while PNP application in process

Hi Everyone,

I have applied for PNP-Non Express Entry and now my application is in backgroud check. My spouse who is dependant in my application lost their status after refusal of status restoration application citing the reason that I do not have 18 months left in my work permit expiration.

My question is should I inform IRCC right away about this change while my spouse is preparing to leave Canada, and send another webform once they left Canada? Also does it affect PR application process of the Principal Applicant or spouse in any way.

You don't need to inform IRCC. However your spouse definitely needs to leave Canada. It will impact the application if your spouse remains in Canada.

Thank you for the reply. We are preparing for the departure in 2-3 weeks. How would my spouse get their PR as outland applicant?
