Spouse IELTS mandatory?

Hello all, i am applying for FSW and i like to know if it is mandatory for my wife to give IELTS. I know we will get extra five points for spouse IELTS but if it is not mandatory i want to avoid spending extra money, and what is the minimum score needed for spouse IELTS?

Do you need the points i.e. without your spouse are you getting 67 points. If have the points, no need to do it. I think. I hope seniors chime in.

Correct. You only need to do spousal IELTS if you want / need the spousal adaptability points.
