Yes, you can inquire if you are the Applicant,, my husband had to hire Immigration Lawyer also, we went to Embassy once to inquire our status when my husband went there for a visit and I always inquire them thru email.pipes said:

december 2012 applicant po ako, july 8 ppr, nov 15 expiration ng medical ko but till now wala pa ring balita...di ko rin po alam kung extended ba med ko gaya ng nababasa ko, nagmessage na kame CEM pero automated reply lang na sinasabe wait for 28 days to reply..ask lang po paano niyo nalamang extended ang medical niyo? thanks
based on my experienced to hire an Immigration Lawyer, it just made my application longer coz we have to send all the papers to them and they are the one who forward it to VO and vice versa... It took 13months for me. That time the maximum processing time was only 6months! Decision made : June 26 2013
ecas until now ang naklagay lang sa permanent residence section recieved application and medical results have been recieved.
Hindi namin alam what's next. Kung kelan binabayaran ung landing kung pano ung next procedure at this point, a bit blinded kung ano na. Madami akong nakikita dito na nakakatulong pero hindi ko alam how to get other information
