Hello sa inyong lahat! I feel all your pain too. Lalo na sa aking fellow 2011 applicants. May 28, 2011 kami nagpakasal ng hubby ko in Manila, and July ako bumalik ng Canada. It's been a year na hindi kami magkasama. My husband encountered all kinds of hurdles, sa NBI, passport, at lalo na sa medical. Lately sa police clearance naman. As of April 23, 2012, everything has been completed and submitted to CEM, including his passport.

I want to try and email Kenney, meron na bang nakatanggap ng reply sa inyo from him? Also, I want to get the CAIPS.

I want to say na I'm reaching the end of my patience, but sabi nga nila, marami pang pagdadaanan ang mga mag-asawa. This is just one of those. I know we all want to get on with our lives. We can't help but be frustrated and we have every right to be. We can also be positive and hopeful. Whichever path we choose, whichever way we express our frustrations, don't forget that we're not alone. At sana nga we'll get Visas soon....

God bless everyone!
Everything happens for a reason.. Just pray, keep your faith and everything will take its place. San ka sa canada sis?

hi, dont get mad at me ha this is just my opinion out of your sitiuation. kc base sa timeline mo you just got married May 2011, so nito lang nag-one year ung marriage ninyo. kaya siguro medyo tumagal sa cem kc alam naman natin na cic is doing everything to combat marriage for convenience sa canada. (am not saying yours is one ha) so siguro nga lang ganun nga kaya tumagal pa. but for some who has been married for a long time bago nag apply for PR siguro e diferent procesing time yung sa kanila. anyone with the experience pls share. just a wild opinion.

It was only 10months after we met when we had the wedding. Everything went fast from meeting, engagement to wedding.

Thankfully, God has been gracious our visa processing went fast and smooth. We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary here in Canada 5months after I landed. Now we're almost in to our 2nd.

It's really not into how long you've been married or known each other. It's how you can prove and convince the visa officer that your relationship is genuine.

And based on the other forumers post before, if you got all the proof of the relationship, then the reason why the process takes soooo long must be because of the visa officer holding your case. There are those who are very strict.

I know how hard to wait and go through this visa process. But I hope that those who are waiting will get theirs soon. God bless.

yes thats true you only have to prove that your relationship is genuine, good for you i guess you had everything to prove your genuine relationship but for some i guess wherein the vo need more data to decide and not convinced of the evidences presented, marriage for convenience is rampant so the timeline of the marriage and the relationship plays a big role here.

You asked our opinions that why I shared mine. :D ;D

I guess the timeline is not a big deal. (based on my experience). I agree more with how you 1.present the case and the amount of evidence submitted.
;)
2. Also,i think "age gap" is one of the major things they look at.

Im not saying you're wrong. I'm just happy having a discusion. Hope other forumers have something to add. ;)

true but timeline is a big factor. a couple's application whose been married for ten years before they apply for PR will have more positive note on the visa officer than a couple whose just been married and applied for PR. if am the VO, obviously the couple whose been married a long time ago may need not to show proof of genuine relationship like email, telephone bill, plane tickets, hotel bookings, pictures etc.. marriage certificate that was issued 10 years ago is much sufficient to prove their genuine relationship. unlike new couples you need to provide everything like i mentioned. just my opinion i guess. :) :)

In my opinion, we would understand the delay if we are informed of its cause. Sa case ni EMRN, if she hadn't asked for her MP's assistance, she wouldn't know that her medical results were missing [CEM did not even bother informing her since her file was transferred to their office] while her dependents' results were received. Sa case naman ni mcm, she filed her application on June 2011, CEM started processing it on Aug 2011, she received her PPR on September and just last month she was informed of what was causing the delay! So what kind of system is that? Tsk! Hay buhay! I can't wait for this process to be over!!!!

To the max ang pagbabantay ko talaga noon. Nung na-DM na ako, 2days after that tinatawagan ko ang DHL sa area namin at tinatanong ko kung my package ako from CEM kasi I was expecting that week to be sent. Then hindi nasend sakin that same week, pumunta ako sa CEM at sinabing ipi-print pa lang yung visa ko, kaya pinabalik ako the next week again. Kaya ayun ok naman di talaga ako tumigil.

Advise ko lang bantayan ang updates; tapos pag lagpas na ng processing time yung application nyo, ask your MP's help na. God bless. Just sharing my experience
