Good day,

while I was reviewing London visa office requirement for FSW1 , i noticed that they require detailed employment reference for the spouse , I can not understand what is the point behind that requirement , as the spouse points should be awarded only based on education level. is it really a basic requirement ? or only the main applicant work reference can be fine ?

anyone has an idea about that requirement waiting for your reply

Thanks,
Moataz

Yes this is a requirement and I think it is wiered because what if your wife is not working. In my case I am going to submit a normal relieving lettr for my wife's last job

This requirement was already there in CHC New Delhi checklist but they have updated CHC London checklist in March, 2010 and included this requirement in CHC London checklist as well.

In my case I am sending appointment letters and regular exp. certificates of my spouse.

What if someone's wife is house wife / un-employed since day first and the main applicant is claiming points of wife's education. Will it be ok or they will not give education factor points without any work experience of spouse?

if your spouse is not working then in personal history her /his status should be "unemployed"..its not applicable for those cases.

Its applicable for those who has shown spouse employed and filled the detail in personal history form.

from what I understand is the points are awarded only for the spouse education level and has nothing to do with her work experience, an educated housewife with no work experience can still be awarded points, but i think this requirement is a kind of background check and might be used to support visa officer positive/negative discretion regarding the ability to be economoically established in canada.
anyhow My wife is a housewife now , all what we can submit is notarized copies from her previous employment contracts and 2 basic reference letters (without job duties). I hope it will work

if any member here has passed through this requirement before, it will be appreciated in he/she can share his/her experience

Thank you very much
