Spouse documentation requirements

I am applying to sponsor my husband for Permanent Residency who lives with me in Canada. On the document checklist is says for me to include photocopies of my passport OR birth certificate.
I just was wondering if I should include both or if i should follow the instructions and include ONLY ONE. (In this case i was just going to submit my passport)
any thoughts ?

If it says Passport OR Birth Certificate, you should provide just one. If you have a Canadian passport, just submit a copy of that. Don't submit both when they just asked for one.
