hi.. just got my. Open permit last dec2011.. still waiting for my PR till know still in process my status in the cic.ca.. evrytime i check and my husbund till know he hasn't received anything.. from immigration or.. kit or form.. any request for medical .. i wonder how long is the waiting period..thanks

Let me see if I understand - you applied for PR INLAND (from inside Canada) and have your open work permit already. What date did you send in your application? Have you received stage 1 sponsor approval yet? I would think you would have if you got a work permit. Stage 1 can take 11 months, as I'm sure you know. Stage 2 can be very long (years) sometimes, depending on what country you are from, because inland applications take much longer than outland (outside of Canada) ones. How long since you received stage 1 approval and what country are you from? Is your case complicated (children, divorces, lived in several countries, etc.)?
