Spouse and application

I am filling the Background/Declaration form for me and my wife.

Does she have to sign her copy or I have to?

At the end the form asks:

Declaration of applicant

Signature and date.

This makes me confused because I am the applicant but she is the one who is filling the form.

For my spouse, he signed it...! Except the main form (wiith Principal applicant's details), all the forms my spouse filled were signed by him as the officer emailed me saying the following forms are supposed to be filled by your spouse and so I assumed that means he has to sign it!

1. She has to sign
2. If she is not with you just tell her n do her signatures ..that's what most people whose spouses are away do....(it's not ethical though, but as long as she knows it works
