So my friend was living together with a guy but they were not committed like couple, they moved 3 houses together but when she did her pr application she didn’t put him as common law since it’s not committed relation but they lived in the same house. Relationship grew and they are planning to get married and apply for spousal pr sponsorship, can that be an issue for them.

Yes it can create issues. They have to attempt to prove they were not common law. Did they have other roommates? Their own bedrooms?
