Visitor visa had been applied for and refused twice (paragraph 179b). Is there now some other avenue to approach? On the PR application - the sponsor has been approved; the medical has been done and received; a second police report has been requested and applied for. A confirmation of the request for the police report has been sent to IRCC. A new form IMM5669 was requested and done - sent to IRCC three days ago but no confirmation of receipt has been received as yet.

TRV is still the only way if the person wants to visit.

Work permit is only possible if they have secured a job offer in Canada and the employer has obtained an approved LMIA.

Study permit requires a bank balance of at least $25,000 and also admission to a program in Canada. The program selected in Canada must make sense in light of the applicant's previous education and experience and also show a progression in studies.
