My spouse has a valid PR card and staying in Canada.
My PR card expired as I did not fulfill the residency requirement and I was outside Canada most of the time.
If my spouse sponsors me do you think the process will be simple and faster because I already had PR & SIN and most of the background checks have already been done?

It will be treated brand new and possibly with more scrutiny as you had the opportunity to live here prior and didnt. Background checks are only valid for a short period. You will have to wait about 12 months for a decision

Your husband had to renounce the PR at the outset or it was done during the processing time of 1 year.
