hi everyone!
I am posting because I wanna know if anyone has the same issue. I am being sponsored by my husband to become a permanent residence here in Canada. I have a son who is with my parents in the Philippines. My problem is, when my son was born, my parents registered him as their son. To cut the story short, I already filed a case in the court, to have my son's birth cert corrected. My husband and I already submitted our inland application to IRCC and put my son as my NON accompnying dependent . I also included all the necessary documents as a proof that it is in the process of being corrected. We already did our medical as per requested by the IRCC. Now my question is, will the IRCC still ask for my son's birth certificate? What if I cant provide it, coz I dont know how long will it take inorder to correct his birth cert. Will it weigh so much for my PR application to be denied? My husband and I are worried, since we also have a 4 year old daughter. And moving to my country is not an option right now.
Any advice or sharing of the same experience will be appreciated so much. Thank you!
