Hi,
I have a question regarding my Inland Sponsorship application. I am an October applicant and I received the medical exam request on 15 March 2020. Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 spread, the clinic where I have originally scheduled my appointment for tomorrow has cancelled the exam and won't be doing any exams for at least two weeks.
I have two questions regarding this:
1.) I think I have read somewhere that IRCC is not enforcing deadlines on medical exams for the time being. Is this correct? Should I raise a webform to let them know my appointment was cancelled and I might not be able to comply with their 30 day timeframe?
2.) For my application to be approved in principle, does the medical exam have to be completed? I know and totally understand that processing will slow down anyways due to COVID-19, but I am concerned that the eligibility assessment will not start until I have completed the medical exam (and who knows when that will be). As per my understanding, whether you meet the eligibility criteria will determine if you get AIP and SA, and admissibility (medical exam, background checks) determines whether your application gets approved overall. Is this correct? I am asking because being approved in principle without further delays would be more important in my situation than getting my overall application approved.
Thank you very much!
