Hello,

I have a quick question. My husband got his medical report request on Janurary 20, 2017 and he got them done on January 29, 2017. The medical office said they sent the medical reports to immigration on Feb 3, 2017. I also contacted immigration and they said they have received it already. So, now we are just waiting for an answer. We have not heard anything from immigration yet. Is that a good or bad thing? He is Korean and I am spanish and we got married last year. My question is how long after the medical exams have been sent do we need to wait for an answer?

PLEASE HELP!!! Can I apply to college while waiting for my Permanent Residence

Hello,

I am currently being sponsor by my wife within Canada. We sent my sponsorship application on July, 1, 2016 and got a letter from immigration this past January 1, 2017 for my medical report that they already received on February 10, 2017. We have hear no news at this point and just waiting. I came to Canada as a visitor and married my wife here in March 26, 2016. I got my work permit like 2 months ago and just currently working. I want to go to College on September, 2017 so this year. But, in what category do i apply? As a international student or Canadian immigrant ? I want to start my college application soon because the program i want to go to is very competitive and if i don't send the application soon, the program might get full soon. I think before september, 2017 I might get an answer from immigration but I am also worry about immigration denying my application. But, right now can I start my college application without knowing my immigration status ? would the college consider my application without my immigration statues in Canada? would they charge me international student fees or Canadian fees?

PR application and Study Permit application are two different applications. Unless you getting PR based on employment, then yes you will get refused but otherwise you should be fine applying for a study permit.

Just a reminder, that you'll be paying international student school fees, not regional fees.
