i am applying for spousal sponsorship ,got married on maintained status for visitor record, before that i was on pgwp. Spouse is Canadian PR have been into relationship from last 3 years . We have proofs such as call, chats ,Interac transfers, pictures. We studied together from 2015 same school, college. Can provide affidavits from friends (home country) , from Canada and workplace too.

Did marriage with just two witnesses, small ceremony after 15 days will ircc question it. Our families are opposed to this relationship due to intercaste relationship.
Reason-Actually it was busy days on his workplace where he is working due to Christmas and new year eve . Also one of our housemate was out of country (can provide her travel ticket proof). So decided to celebrate when everyone is free.
I have proofs of hotel booking from last 2 years. Now living together from almost 6 months together, have lease agreement, bank accounts, CRA account same address. Do you think my file is strong, do i need some more proof.

each case is unique and there isn't necessarily a wrong or right way. I can see there are many positive aspects to your application. However, if you come from a culture where weddings are a significant part of marriage, the absence of one could potentially raise some red flags. IRCC assesses the genuineness of a spousal or partner relationship across four key pillars: financial (joint banks accounts, marital status on tax returns etc.), social (recognition from friends and family), physical (cohabitation), and emotional commitment (dates, relying on each other and doing shit together). See how you can expand on these points in your application and if your relationship is genuine you'll be fine.

Given the difficulty securing PR and IRCC’s knowledge that many have no pathway to PR or remaining in Canada things like immigration status and timing or applications will play a big role in sponsorship assessments for the next few years. Doesn’t mean that all applications will be refused but would expect a much more heightened level of scrutiny of these applications.
