We submitted our spouse sponsorship PR application a few months ago. I am a Canadian citizen.
When we submitted our application, I stated our status as "married." We got married in BC about two years ago. I don't know about other provinces, but in BC you need to be separated at least for one year before you file your divorce.
Things have changed and I'm considering separating from my wife. I want to know whether separating from my wife will affect her PR application.
If I be honest with my situation and inform IRCC about our status change (married > separated), can my wife still get the PR? or I have no choice but to cancel our application.
