Hello fellas :D

I'm new to this forum. My wife and I we are going to submit the outland application this November. Me (the principal applicant), I reside in Greece as I'm a Greek citizen and our application will be going through the Rome visa office as I've understood correctly. I saw in this forum that the office is quite fast, especially when the application is straightforward and with no errors. On the website of CIC, states that it's going to take around 10 months. Of course, this is not accurate as it's a statistic for around 80% of cases. My question is that if my application is approved, let's say the best possible scenario is in 3-4 months, how much time will I have to land to Canada? I read somewhere in the forum that the PR visa has the same expiry date as the upfront medical exams. Is this true? I'm asking this because by the time we are going to submit our application, in the same time I will have to start my obligations on the army of Greece as it required for young males. I'll start in November and it will last until July. If our application is approved sooner will I have a more tight time frame in order to land to Canada or it will be until the medical exams expire?

Thank you so much

The expiry date/day you must land by is usually tied to the medicals. Most people get 12 months from the date of the medicals.
