While that number is outrageous, none of the processing times have meaning for most people. On a case-by-case basis most people will be processed much faster than that processing time. No one here really knows why they changed that particular VO's processing time by such an extraordinary degree, but rest assured it is more likely you will get your PR in about a year based on what I've read of that visa office real-world timelines.

I really hope so, it went from 16 to 64 in 3 months thats abnormal!

well I hope not as well, this freaked me out really, if this is real I will be definitely leaving Canada, I hope not because I am happy here and I know she will be happy here as well, but my marriage is my priority in life

I agree Rami! did you send your application package yet?

It is definitely unbelievable, when they state their #1 priority is reuniting families. But go look around at spreadsheets and on the Beirut thread you will see no one actually taking that long.

I also noticed that the status changed from application recieved to in process, does that mean anything? what is your experience?

Yes I sent and I already got the CIC approval and the CSQ since I live in montreal so i had to deal with Quebec, and all was sent to beirut office, not to mention the long time it took the CIC to correct a mistake they did to my file, and also the CSQ took more than anyone I personally know, also medical been done and sent to beirut long time ago. Lets hope for the best good luck for all

Do you have your SA yet? If not then that is what is being processed. Otherwise that is the last step on ECAS before DM.

Ya i already had SA since feb.

How long does it usually stay IP till

It varies for everyone, if you can find someone with a similarly timed app to your VO you might get an idea, but really it's on a case-by-case basis. You still need the PPR too, right?

Ya there is nothing updated except when i click on in process under permanent residence status it says that the application was recieved on so and so date.

Well Pakistan is getting it in 12-15 months these days on average as reported by individual cases.

So i wouldn't take that number 64 months for Lebanon too seriously if I were you.

Mine was IP for the entire time we waited for my CSQ, for CIC to lose my CSQ, and for me to replace it, a total of about 3 months.

Changed to DM yesterday, though. :)
