I am hoping someone can help me to determine if visiting the visa office in Accra will help with my Wife's Sponsorship Application. I am a Canadian Citizen and sponsoring my wife who resides in Nigeria. Currently we have had numerous request to conduct additional medical Exams. My wife gave birth in January 2019 and in March 2019 had a medical examination, waited 3 months and conducted another examination in June 2019. The visa office is now telling us we need to wait 6 months for another examination, this will run us to December 2019.

I am visiting my wife in Nigeria and I would like to know if it will benefit me to visit the visa office in Accra to enquirer on my application?

No - it won't help to visit the visa office.

Why has she been asked to take multiple medical tests? Does she have a history of TB or did they see something on her lungs in the xray?

She does not have a history of TB. They did see something in her first exam, but we are almost certain this was due to her recent pregnancy. Second X-ray was negative and she received a report from a Respiratory specialist that said she doe not have TB and this was also received by immigration Canada. It is just very strange they are doing this. We all know they cannot deny this application but they prefer to delay it.

I would also like to know is it possible to in the meantime, ask to proceed with the security and other requirements needed, while we wait for the next Medical in December?

Thanks,

Sean

You cannot ask IRCC to proceed with security and other requirements. What they do is up to them and they will follow their procedures.

I would order your GCMS notes if you haven't done so already to find out' what's up with the medical. They must have seen something. If she was seen by a respiratory specialist - then they saw something in her lungs and probably need to confirm it's not TB. The multiple tests would make perfect sense if that's the case. TB is taken extremely seriously in Canada. No one prefers to delay things - they are protecting the Canadian population from a very serious illness.

You are not understanding. The Respiratory specialist confirmed there is nothing to worry about, and a second X-Ray was conducted showing no signs of TB. This is suffice to rule she is medically clear. Someone with stage 4 cancer cannot be rejected, even if it will put a strain on the Canadian Health Care system. It is inevitable the application will be approved. I personally feel it is being overdone if you ask me.
