Hey All,

So, my wife and I did the inland application because... well, I had my faith in our system. Anyways, I applied to the Mississauga Processing Plant as the package says, but everywhere I am reading now says... Vegreville? Why is it different?

Also, anyone have problems applying online for a Open Work Permit/Extended Stay? I am trying to get my personal checklist code, but when I answer the questionaire it redirects me to the spousal sponsorship page? Any info...

Also.

Applied Out of Canada May. 2014
Returned to us August 2014, missing documents(I swear to god they lost it)

Re-applied in Canada September 2014,
Never heard back, waiting

Vegreville USED to process inland applications, and now they are handled in mississauga. The office transfer to mississauga is one of the reasons the wait time jumped dramatically.

From what i understand, it takes about 4 months to receive an AOR for inland processing, so your file could still be waiting to be opened again. to know for sure, you will want to ask in the inland processing thread.

I'm guessing you can't apply online for an Open Work Permit because you still don't have stage 1 approval of your Inland application? If processing times don't increase the way they were doing, you might get stage 1 approval around November 2015, then you can apply for an Open Work Permit after that. Good luck!

Extending your stay as a visitor is separate from the PR application though so you should be able to do that.

Hi to ALL,

I am new in this forum and currently have questions about spousal sponsorship. I am currently a Temporary Foreign Worker in Alberta, my work permit is valid until November 2015. I am engaged and planning to marry my fiance (Canadian Citizen) in 2 months through a civil wedding. After that he is planning to sponsor me via Inland Processing since we are already living together and I still have my status in Canada until Nov 2015. But when I read the topics here inland takes awhile to get a PR. My concern are the following:

- can we do inland processing as I still have a work permit good until Nov2015?
- if we get married and do inland processing can we go to the Philippines and get married again? Will it affect the inland process and my status as a Foreign Worker?
- which is the better thing to do? inland or outland despite of my current status in Canada.

Please feel free to reply and I will be waiting for your responses as I am worried what to do by February 2015 once I get married. Thank you!

-Kaye

When you answer questions for extended stay, make sure to answer: "visiting - more than 6 months". If you answer you are immigrating, it will not show you the extension of stay application checklist. Maybe that's the reason?

You did declare the children in your original PR application, right...even though they were not ready to come to Canada then?

Did they have their medical exams then as well???
