I was browsing the internet about my visa application and found this page!
I moved to Canada from Japan in January and got married with my husband n Feb this year.
We applied for the PR visa on May 18th, then got an email on June 22nd saying that they started to process it. Since then we haven't got any letters or emails, not even an acknowledgement letter with an application number from them. Is this normal?
We know every case is different but not even to be able to check the website for the process drives us rather impatient. Should we call CIC to ask about an acknowledgement letter/the process? Do you know the number to call?
We also applied for an open work permit but haven't got any word for it yet either.
We really hope that we can get on to the website to check the process for our application.
