Hello,

My wife is a resident of Malaysia (on a student visa) and an Indian citizen. I am also an Indian citizen.

We applied for her PR through the spousal sponsorship process. Her PR application is now under process and was recently moved to the Singapore VA for processing (mid December).

Recently my wife decided to quit her university in Malaysia. She will thus loose her Malaysian Student Visa/residency permit..

Can somebody please shed light on the consequences of this on her PR application ?

a) Will her application be affected by the fact that she will now be a resident of India ?

b) Her PR application is under process in Singapore VO - will this be a problem now that she may loose her Malaysian Visa ?

c) Are we supposed to inform CIC about this change ??

We are very worried now and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also the Singapore VO seems to be very slow ? Is this something that is known ?

She needs to inform IRCC that she is moving back to India. There may be a request for further documents, there may not.

As said above, you need to inform IRCC. However, simply moving countries is not a reason for your sponsorship application to be rejected.

It doesn't really affect the process. You may need to submit a new PCC or something, but that's about all. IRCC will tell you if they need anything.

Thank you for the responses!

What would be the procedure to inform IRCC about this change ? If there a web form or something that I can fill ??

Yes. Google "IRCC Webform" and you'll find the link.
