Hi, I am getting married in India in November 2013. After marriage, i plan to come back to Canada and apply for sponsoring PR for my spouse who will be left behind in India. My intent is to bring her here to Canada AS SOON AS POSSIBLE without any extended period of separation between us.

Once I get my sponsor approval from the local CEC office, I assume they will transfer all paperwork to New Delhi.

From this point on,
1) how long does it take for Delhi to PPR for my spouse (Passport Request)
2) Once my spouse sends her passport to Delhi, how long will it take for PR visa to be stamped and passport to be returned?

If I want to avoid an extended period of me and my spouse staying apart, is it a good idea to apply for a TRV so she can travel to visit me before PPR? Once PPR request comes in and she sends the passport, she obviously cannot travel out of India.

Kindly offer your valuable thoughts/ comments/ suggestions.

Roger

Once you have made the PR application, the chances of her getting a TRV drastically reduce. Plan accordingly.
