my husband is in canada under post graduation work permit valid till nov 2017

we are getting married on dec 8th 2016

i am planning to apply for a spousal open work permit

i wanna know what are the documents required

and i just noticed that most of the rejection cases where because officer saying that client may not return to home country
so what are the documents need to be submitted to avoid such type of rejections.

i heard that property documents should be submitted
my question is i dont have any property under my name

so as i am getting married can i submit my husband or in laws property papers

i started filling my application and immediately i received a reminder mail that in there records i was a permanent resident of Canada and reminding me to revoke my pr

yes when i was 13 years i was a pr of Canada sponsored by my father(Canadian citizen) as i didn't meet my pr obligation i didn't get my pr travel document when i applied in 2015 november and they asked me to appeal within 60 days or else i may loose my status.

i didn't go for the appeal because i was getting married so thought to apply for sowp. and then my husband later can sponsor me pr .

so now my question is can i apply for sowp or no as my husband is in Canada upon pg work permit valid till 2017 November working under noc a
and later can he sponsor me pr again. please reply me asap its very urgent ,your suggestions are very important in my current situation

You can still applying for SOWP if your husband has a job under NOC O, A or B

You probably have to revoke your PR status.

If your Canadian Father was born in Canada you could be Canadian citizen

no he was an indian ...recently he got canadian citizenship

I applied for SOWP and my wife (spp) study permit togthr on 4th of Oct 2016.
It is paper based application.
processing at VAC Bangalore..
Wife (spp) study permit was Approved on Oct 12th 2016,

My spouse open work permit is still in process, my status says
Status - OPEN
Medical - PASSED on 12th November 2016

And also I got a reply from them on 15th November 2016 stating :-

Please submit the below mentioned Additional documents.
* Marriage Certificate
* Proof of funds for Me and Spouse

Now again I submitted the demanded additional documents on 18th of November at Vfs pune.

I havent received any update yet... no email , no msg nothing,
I m realy worried...

You have nothing to do but wait

I know how stressful is being waiting for CIC processing but it's almost nothing you can do (other than submit a perfect application, all needed or recommended documents and letters of explanations.)

You should check how long SOWP typical processing time at CIC website. If your processing time is much longer uou can try to contact CIC but it won't speed your process.

So just patience and check the email inbox and the spam folder just in case.

Hello Sir,

I'm a PhD degree holder. I have been offered a job in University Health Network, Toronto. I will be applying for work permit visa, along with my application may I also apply for my wife's Open Work permit visa ?

Submitting both applications (mine and my wife's) once at a time is good or I have to wait until I get work permit visa and then apply for my wife Open work permit visa. Kindly suggest.
