Request help of seniors!!!!
I am in Canada on a closed work permit with an employer for the last 6 months. My wife came here with me as a dependent. She applied for a course in college, got her study permit and is starting the course in January.
1. Now can I apply for a dependent open work permit based on her study permit? The reason to do that is that my current closed work permit expires in March and my employer will want to send me back to India by then, may be even sooner.
2. What are my chances of getting the open work permit? Do I need to make a case that I will go back to India after she completes her study? But then, if I do that, will it hurt my chances of applying for CEC after I finish one year which is in 6 months? I am cautious about that as well
3. If at all I should apply for a dependent open work permit, can I do it now in November or will that be considered too soon and rejected?
