spousal interview today

My spouse had an interview today, he mentioned the vibe was positive. At the end of the interview the visa officer said we will contact you within a few days requesting something from you. She didnt mention what she will request. My only concern is he took his passport with him and she returned it back to him, is that a bad sign? or is that normal?

is your husband from a visa-exempt country? if so, there is no need for her to have kept his passport. good luck!!!

what are visa-excempt countries its beirut visa office in Lebanon.

so from what i can see, your husband will need a visa, which means he will need to submit his passport to receive that visa before he can come to Canada. i don't know if the passport is normally taken at the time of the interview. the interviewer may have been referring to requesting the passport soon, or she may have been referring to requesting further documentation to answer her questions. either way, she is requesting *something*, which means she was not ready to deny the application. that's good news. sit tight and wait for the request.

ya i think it will be medicals but not 100 percent sure because ours are expired like 3 months ago.
