Hi Everyone,

I needed some advice on how to proceed with the inland application. I will give you guys my background to my situation. I have been sponsored 5 and half years ago by my ex wife, I am now a permanent resident for 5 and Half years. I am planning on applying for my citizenship soon. I have my met my fiance just after the separation. We have been together since October 2019, She lives in Kalispell Montana and i live in Lethbridge Alberta. we had our long distance relation for a little while now and we just found out that we are expecting a baby. So we decided that we no longer want to be apart and want to grow a family together. We are planning on getting married in the next couple of months. I need some direction.

1) My fiance has two kids from her previous relationship and has full parental rights, will this cause any issues?

2) If we apply within Canada, i think i read that we can apply for a temporary workers permit at the same time?

3) Once applied will my fiance and her children be able to access health services since she is pregnant?

4) any other useful information would be appreciated, especially since last time i had my Spousal application done was about 5 and half years ago?

Thank you so much for the help!!

1. How old are the children? If they are unmarried and under 22 they can be included in the application.
2. Yes.
3. Probably not immediately. Here are the requirements. If you file inland she would only be a visitor/tourist until the work permit is approved. If she has the baby in Canada, it would qualify for health coverage.
4. If you file inland she cannot leave Canada for more than a couple of weeks until her PR is approved or else the application may be considered abandoned.

Her children will not qualify for health coverage and they won’t qualify for free public schooling either since their parent is only a visitor.
