Help needed from the experts.please!
I submitted my spousal application for my wife on the 7th of june and has been returned yesterday july 17 stating the fact that on IMM 5669 handwritten signature is missing.Although the form was right there with all the blanks filled perfectly and signed.I don’t know what they are asking for??We can sign and send but My biggest concern is most of the documents we have prepared are dated back to April now it’s July and if I send those by the time it reaches their office it will be over 90 days old(staled). What is more rational to do, send those documents with new signature or to start making all new? Please help me out. Last but not the least I am notified that the address of Case processing centre has been changed to sydney not mississauga anymore. Is it true??

I am afraid I would suggest that you should download a complete new set of forms (that way they will also be the latest versions) and fill them all in again. If you download the latest version of the checklist, it will also tell you where to send it (and yes, for outland spousal sponsorship it is now Sydney, NS).

Did you type your name into the signature field on IMM 5669 and physically sign your name next to it, or was it only typed?

Just typed the name though. I am stupid lol. How do you sign physically in there??
Print the form off and then literally sign beside the printed name with an ink pen.

Hey, my application got returned for the very same reason, and I have a question regarding the fee we paid.

Can we use the same payment for resubmitting or we need to pay again? Please advise. I received my application back today explaining the missing signature.

You don't have to repay......just attach a copy of the earlier payment receipt when you resubmit your application package.

The document checkilst has been updated. It was revised in June so I will advise you submit a completely new application.

Hi there,

So I did the same mistake and only typed my name in that form, sent the application in May and just got it back in the mail, back to square one. Quite frustrating as the instruction is quite misleading since the form states that typing the name is an electronic signature.

I'd advise you to spend some time thoroughly reading the Complete Guide, which has detailed instructions on each form, to ensure that you've filled them out completely and correctly. It says in the Complete Guide, in regard to the Schedule A, "Provide a written signature next to the printed name in the signature section of the document."

Thanks I will. To re submit, do I need to reprint and signed all the forms or only the ones that were updated? I.e. just the checklist that was “updated” in June.

if i sent the wrong owp form feb 2018 version instead of june 2018 will it still be accepted?

I seem to have done the same mistake just electronically signed. I am still waiting for reply as it seems they did not process my application yet.
Do I send a cover letter along with physically signed form asking them to replace current form. Would it work?

you could physically sign the form and send the updated form with a copy of your payment receipt to IRCC....and hope IRCC has not returned your application package......otherwise if returned you may have to re-send the package
