Hi everyone, March 2018 spousal sponsorship applicant so far my husband (PA) application has received AOR1and Sponsor Approved (SA) last night we got an e-mail from IRCC stating that his application has been forwarded to the Visa Office ******** which is our local visa office for further processing.

My question is was he suppose to get a medical request before his file was transferred?? has anyone else experienced this process? I saw most people receive (AOR1, SA, Background Check and Medical Request) I'm a bit confused that he didn't receive a Medical Request before the file transferred... please anyone can share some info regarding the process.

thanks!

Sometimes the VO requests the medical instead of CPC M.

Most Outland spousal sponsorship follow these steps within the 12months process time.........medical request are mostly sent after Sponsor Approval......
  1. Application received at IRCC Mississauga
  2. CIC Mississauga start processing application
  3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
  4. Link Application to Online Account
  5. Upload Schedule A form
  6. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
  7. VO start processing PR application (AOR 2)
  8. Receive Request for Medical Exam
  9. Medical Exam @ Physician Clinic
  10. Medical Exam Result
  11. Passport Request (PPR)
  12. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)
That's not what the question was. The question was about the medical not being requested at CPC M.

Usually when that happens is because they might have some concern about the relationship or something else. Just make sure you provide any additional documents that ask you for, and if an interview is required make sure the two of you are well prepared for it.
