My wife is planing to visit me on visitor visa. I have submitted her PR documents on june- 03 -2019.

When I purchased the ticket, how long can I keep for the return date? I mean is the return date of the ticket should be a month or 2 or less than 6 months.
Please help.

Getting a tourist visa can be difficult since it's usually hard to prove why your spouse will return.

You shouldn't actually buy a ticket before you get the visa. Get a travel agent to hold seats for you, seats that you can cancel for free. There are plenty of sites on the internet that will charge you $20-30 and will give you an itinerary with held seats - perfectly legitimate to do this.

You shouldn't show more than a month's travel when applying for the visa. Be prepared for a denial.

Oh then you can book any ticket you like. Be reasonable though, don't book her for a six month visit because the CBSA officer at the port of entry may ask questions.

A 2-month ticket is perfectly fine. You can always change the tickets later, once she's here.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your time and response. Have a great weekend.
