Hi there! We applied for parents sponsorship this year and my parents were asked to do medicals. My dad’s chest exray showed a scar. My dad never had TB or other chest problems. The doctor said that they have to do another test which gotta go to Mumbai India and will get the reports back after 65-75 days. Then they will tell if my father needs to take meds based on that report. Medical was done in Ludhiana India. Anyone facing or has faced same issue can share the thoughts or own experience. It will help me alot at this point.
Thanks

This is pretty common. You can have damage to the lungs for various reasons. They want to make sure there are no changes in the next x-ray. No changes usually indicate no active disease. Your father will likely have to do a sputum test as well. They need to wait to see if anything grows which is what takes such a long time. Many come back clear.
