Sponsring new born -- experts please help

Hi experts,

I am a valid PR holder outside canada. We have to go to back to canada but we have a new born. I want to take my full family with me, please suggest options as sponsorship requires a parent to be in canada during the process, leaving the newborn back home?

Second question is if there is no other option, what if I have to come out of canada to see/visit my family outside canada during the sponsorship process? would it effect/delay the sponsorship process? How long i can stay out or how many times i can go out etc etc.

How long does it will take to complete sponsorhip process (family in ISB)? Is it necassary to have a job while filing the sponsorship case? Requirements and eligibility for applying for sponsorhip?

If the other parent is a Canadian citizen the child is a Canadian citizen by decent.

1. You can apply for a TRV for the baby, but it if is refused one of you will have to return to Canada to sponsor the child.
2. According to the Immigration regulations as a PR you are supposed to remain in Canada for the sponsorship process, if Isbad determines that you have returned to Pakistan, there is a good chance they will refuse. There was a poster in the forum who was sponsoring her spouse, who found out the hard way.
3. The sponsorship would be quite quick as the child has a minimal medical exam and doesn't require either a background check or PCCs. It will take 67 days at Mississauga and about 4/5 months at Isbad. You don't require a job, but you cannot be on welfare.

What is TRP? It has confused me somewhat to decide if i have to apply for TRV or TRP? I didnt found any application form etc for TRP.

To me it doesnt sound practical not visiting family back home at all during sponsoring period. So if I have to go out of canada for a couple of weeks I hope that would be okay and ISB CHC will not know about it. Is there any check i need to be careful about?

By welfare you mean Child benefit funds?

I am not sure where you got TRP - it's TRV - temporary resident visa.

You cannot leave Canada until the sponsorship is complete.

Do some reading about the stuff PMM sent you, it will answer all your questions.
