Your spouse can sponsor you for PR using the inland route. However since you are out of status, you won't qualify for a work permit right away. You will have to wait until you have first stage approval before you will qualify for a work permit. Hard to say how long you will have to wait, but possible it may take close to a year since you are out of status. You should submit the inland sponsorship application as soon as you can to get the ball rolling.
