Hi all, I'm new here but hopefully somebody can answer a couple questions I have.
I recently had my wife apply for a student visa from Colombia, then the plan was to start the sponsorship paperwork while she was here on the student visa. However the student visa was denied, so now I am forced to begin the paperwork to sponsor her from outside the coutry.
My question is, since I am from Quebec, the wait time for spousal sponsorship is 16 months. Are wait times in other provinces less, and if so how much less? And if I simply move to the other province, can I apply from within that province? And when she arrives, are we able to move back to Quebec without any real problems?
Also, are there any ways to speed up the process, for example if she was pregnant or something?
