Hi,

I am going to apply for my fiance in sponsorship category. As we both live in Quebec and she is a student here, my question is:

After I apply for the immigration for her, when will I receive an approval letter from the CIC that enable me to apply for the CSQ?
I know the processing time for the step 1 is almost 11 months, but if I have to wait for that, how long should I wait for the CSQ?
After I receive the CSQ, what should I do?

Note that you must either be married or common law (have lived together for at least one full year) in order to sponsor your fiance.

Once approved by CIC as sponsor. You attach the email that you will receive (of approval from cic) and apply for CSQ (fill-out forms & Pay the fees).

CSQ takes approx a month or so.

After you receive CSQ, you wait until your wife receives her visa. Bring both COPR and CSQ upon landing in Quebec.
