If you have CRA login and password, you can print the NOA from their website
CIC might accept this print up from website but it is not original document from CRA. So there is a chance CIC may still reject the print up since it is not original.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to inquire regarding the Minimum Income Requirement for IMM 5768E:
1. So if we are a family of 5. Me, my spouse (who is a co-signer), daughter plus my parents whom I'm sponsoring. The LICO is $62,023.00+30%. How do you compute for the 30%?
is it 30% of $62,023? Hence the minimum requirement is $80, 629 ?
2. Do I write the most recent year, ie, 2012 LICO+30% or the sum of all 3 years?
Thanks a lot everyone!

In the document check list, they haven't mentioned original copy of NOA. Only NOA issued by CRA is required

Minimum income includes LICO plus 30%.

CIC will not accept the print out from the website. I verified this with both CRA and CIC yesterday. CRA told me that the Option C printout is validated and official, while the printout from the website is not. As for CIC, the agent told me that the reason they take the Option C from the CRA is because it saves them time by not verifying that the printout is not tampered with - it is verified already. Hope this helps.

The CRA told me it has the exact same info (Option C vs the "My account" printout). I even told them that when you want a copy of your NOA, the CRA website tells you to just login to "My account"...so it should be accepted. The CRA agent told me the big difference is that the Option C is validated and verified - and this is a very big deal with CIC.

1.If you look at the table, It says "Minimum Income 2012, 2011, 2010". The official guide states "The Minimun Necessary Income requirement, which you must meet for each of the three years preceding the date of your application, is equal to the Low Income Cut-Offs (LICO) plus 30%." So that means the 32,023 is the minimum requirement.

2. I'm assuming you are asking about question 8 and 9 in the form IMM 5768. You only write the most recent taxation year - 2012. You have to hand write the total for question 9.

That would be the NOA that came in the mail after you submit your taxes. That would be the original they would accept.

The Option C paper is just a paper printed by the CRA.
It has no stamps or colors or signatures, or anything special
Just a paper for each year
So I don't see how you saying it's validated ?

I'm just stating verbatim what the agent told me. I have never seen an option c printout, although i do have access to the website printout. I guess to each his own-if you feel like the website printout is ok with them, then submit it. I would personally not do it though..

I had an Option C printout submitted for my wife's PR application. It is not "just" a paper printed by CRA. It has their original typing and printing of CRA on it. You can't modify the original. Whereas an email printup can easily be modified before printing it up on your home printer thus can be falsified and cannot be validated.

It is one of the reason Ontario Service won't accept my wife's email printup of AIP for qualification documents which is understandable. I had to submit it to the OHIP review board to get the qualification for my wife. Once OHIP verified my wife's status with CIC, they issued the approval.

I have dealt with CIC on number of occasions in past 13 years. I came to Canada as a student and become PR under skilled worker category. Then I applied my parents Visitor Visa, after that their Super Visa and in between all that numerous communications. I have never provided them my original NOA and even if they ask I won't as it's an official financial document one should hold on to for countless situations in life.

I have always provided photocopy of my NOA for all my applications and never had any problem. So my point here is if the assigned officer doesn't see anything goofy on your application he/she will have no reason to ask you for official or notarized document.

Just sharing my experience.

The LOC chart includes the 30%, So you use it as is. for eg, for family of 3 (Q#8) minimum necessary income= 133,382.00
you write the sum of all 3 years for (Q#9) which should be more than what is entered in (Q#8)
Please correct me if I am wrong here.

You don't need to write sum of three years just most recent (2012) NOC line 150. And yes the table given in the new guide released on Dec 31st includes LICO+30% so you don't need to add an extra 30% on that.
