I have a four year old grandchild from the Philippines that I want to bring to Canada to study. I can support him financially. Could you please advice me what is the best way to do it. Should I apply for a student visa or

Doubt you will get a study permit especially for a 4 year old. Are you aware you would have to pay international fees of up to $15000/year for him to attend public school. He also wouldn't have healthcare.

What canuck_in_uk means is that if the mother or father (your own child) of that grandson is under 22 and not married nor in a common-law relationship.
If so, you can sponsor your child and include grandson as the dependent of that child.
