Sponsorship forms - where to start, plus other questions

hi all!
is there somewhere in this forum where it takes you step by step on how to put together a successful package?

Scenario:
- just got married to American husband who is in Canada on a work visa. He is incredibly eager to get an open work permit (hates his job).
- I am thinking to apply outland since it seems faster but out first and foremost goal is to get the open work permit ASAP
- having said that, the potential inability to travel on inland is an issue (we cannot be locked in canada for a year as he has aging parents/grandparent in USA!)

Thoughts?

Outland is the better option for an American. The process averages around 6 months, with many being approved in much less time. If you apply inland, it will take about 4 months just to get the OWP anyways.
