Theres a question on the application which says: Are you a canadian citizen/permanent resident?
Canadian citizen: became a citizen on _____________(date)
Permanent resident: became a resident on _____________(date)
If you are a Canadian citizen, is your claim to citizenship by descent? Yes or No

If you are a permanent resident or a naturalized canadian citizen, give the name of the country where PR application was processed?
Full name at the time you became a perm resident ________________
Record of landing/conf of perm residence number _____________

Here is the scenario: I became a canadian citizen by applying for it in canada in 2008. I was a permanent resident before that and we had applied from india for perm residence.. and we were landed immigrants...
so how should I go about filling this?

Canadian citizen: [YES] became a citizen on _____________(date)
Permanent resident: became a resident on _____________(date)
If you are a Canadian citizen, is your claim to citizenship by descent? Yes or No [NO]

If you are a permanent resident or a naturalized canadian citizen, give the name of the country where PR application was processed?
Full name at the time you became a perm resident ________________
Record of landing/conf of perm residence number _____________

The bolded part, should I just fill that up and write NOT APPLICABLE in THE UNBOLDED PART.. or do I have to write down the country i.e. INDIA where my mom had initially applied for perm residence? and the Rec of landing etc. number?
or should that be not applicable?

Also, the document checklist has STATUTORY DECLARATION OF COMMON LAW UNION(IMM 5409) form. I was not in a common law relationship with my spouse before being married, do I still need to attach the form and say NOT APPLICABLE on it? or should i not attach it at all...?

You say YES to citizen, write the date.
NO to permanent resident, write n/a on the date line.
Claim NO to by descent
Then say India, the date you got your PR and your PR number

If you are married, don't bother with the form. Make sure you don't check it on the document checklist or they will be looking for it. Only check off the items that you need and have included.
