Hi,

I have unique situation and slightly confused. Hoping someone will help me. Reply ASAP please..

I am planning to sponsor my parents (my mom & dad) and my wife parents (her person mom & dad) 4 person at the same time.
Income is not an issue. I am earning well enough to sponsor 4 persons. My current family size is 3 (me, my wife and my son)
I will be sending two separate application to CIC for both parents


What is my family size me+my spouse+ my son (3) + 2 = 5?
or
What is my family size me+my spouse+ my son (3) + 4 = 7?

Secondly what should I write in IMM 5768 Form for Q10 regarding previous undertaking. There is no previous but there are parallel undertaking.

If you want to sponsor both sets of parents, then you should make sure your income from 2012, 2013 and 2014 meets MNI for family size of 7.

Not entirely sure the best way to indicate the undertaking situation. A few other posters did this exact same thing so if you review the threads dedicated to parents sponsorship you may find a related post. I would include them in the undertaking section, and write a separate note to clarify they are actually parallel applications.

As family size of 7. My income is around 8,000 less in 2012, as was I arrived in that year Canada. But my earning of 2013 and 2014 and even 2015 as well above earning requirements. What to do now? I am little worried now.
Secondly, I look in this forum... I didn't found how to deal with undertaking issue in two separate forms, can you please have a look for me. I am new to this Forum. I am confused as this is neither a current undertaking nor previous undertaking.
Did I need to change Family size in Form? I don't this so. But your advise to give explanation to CIC in separate letter make sense.
How about I make a call to CIC?
Please advise asap I have to ask both parents to send me all documents and this things make me worry.

I thought that a person could not sponsor their in-laws, but could be a co-signer for the spouse to sponsor his/her parents.

Has that policy changed?

Assumed you are sponsor on your own parents app with wife as co-signer, and your wife is sponsor for her parents with you as co-signer. When you say you're $8,000 short in 2012, does that include income combined with your wife? This is the amount you should be using.

If your combined income is $8K short in 2012, then this makes things simpler for you as you don't qualify to sponsor both sets of parents, so you can only choose 1 first. You can't use 2015 income. You must use only 2012, 2013 and 2014 income to qualify for 2016.

So what you need to do is:
Jan 2016 - choose what set of parents you wish to sponsor. Family size will just be 5, so you will need to qualify for MNI @ 5 people for 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Jan 2017 - sponsor the 2nd set of parents. Family size will be 7, so you'll need MNI @ 7 people for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
