Sponsorship application response of CIC

Hi,

I am a Canadian living outside of Canada with my spouse. I applied to sponsor my spouse from outside of Canada. I couriered my application to CIC, Mississauga and they received my application on October 13, 2015.

Since then, I haven't heard anything from them. I got confirmation that someone has signed and taken it. It takes 45 days for the approval of the sponsor. What could be reason that I haven't heard yet? Please let me know, I am very worried as it will be almost a month now.

It's perfectly normal. You may not hear from them until the sponsor is approved.

The approval time of the sponsor is actually 62 days so you have a bit to go yet.
