Hi

I have been as a tourist for 10 months in Canada and I have been doing some volunteering before getin a Working Holiday Permit.

I read that the CIC can consider my volunteer as work and refuse my sponsorsphip and I am getting really worried.

Any ideas of what can I do? ???

Thanks

Some volunteer work is classified as illegal work. What have you been doing?

Generally speaking, illegal work should not result in sponsorship being refused - however it could prolong the process. It could also impact your IEC if CIC finds out what you've been doing and it meets illegal work criteria.

Hey

I have been some days going to do volunteer in a place for people with mental problems (they always ask for volunteers) and sometimes i take some pictures in a theatre just for fun and give to the organization.

I never signed anything, it was just go when i want and thats it.

But now i get a bit paranoid with this. I just put in my last 10 years of activity that I did volunteer in the places and thats all. Should I have to give more details?

Thanks
