sponsorship and open work permit application

hi fellow forum members, I appreciate the good contributions of fellow members especially scilla and other members too, u are simply great.

I want to ask if sponsorship and application for work permit can be made together, is it possible, under what ground can both applications be made?

secondly, am single I do not have any spouse, can work permit be granted to single person without being married? I mean open work permit

If you have a Canadian spouse/common law partner and you are also in Canada (e.g. as a visitor, on a study permit, on a work permit), then your spouse/common law partner can sponsor you using the inland application route and include an OWP application with the inland sponsorship application. In that case the OWP will be approved approximately four months after the sponsorship application is received.
