hi to all, I have seen a few comments that I'm in a similar situation about implied status. I was on a 2 year IEC WP that recently expired, my wife and I got married last year and have sent out the full application for sponsorship and a new OWP. Ive spoken to a agent and asked if I can still legally work and they say yes and I've sent about 3 or 4 messages about working whilst I wait for a decision and they still say yes.
This was before and after my IEC WP expired.
I think there is so many inquiries about this they don't know how to keep up and say yes so they don't keep getting messages.

There needs to be a better way to understand this matter but if immigration still says yes then who is in the wrong, government, immigration lawyers or the applicants?

They recently clarified this and I posted an update. You can continue working.
