This is something that have me really worried now :-\, my husband¿s son is now in a big problem with the police. He says it can not affect our application, but I don't know if it can affect him as my sponsor.

Another doubt I have, what I'm going to do with his address in IMM5406 :o?? And regarding IMM5669 Background /declaration, when it says if one of my family members listed on my application, it refers only to the ones that could be potential applicants for sponsorhip in the future right?

The boy is 20 years old and he left hubby's home when he was 17.

Thank you in advance for your repplies.

Your husband won't be held accountable for something your son has done unless he was involved as well. If his son got into trouble on his own, it's regrettable, but shouldn't effect his ability to sponsor you.

I wouldn't change IMM5406 unless it's necessary. Honestly, I wrote "unknown" for my mother's address because my father couldn't get it for me (and I told the VO this). So if something happens, you can contact the VO and tell them his location is "unknown" but he isn't your dependant, so no worries for you.

Only people you need to worry about are you and any children, if you have any, that aren't already Canadian from your husband.

If you don`t know and can`t find out his address, just attach a note explaining that. If he is in jail, you can put that address - he is a Canadian already and won`t affect your application.
Family members means your spouse and dependent children (on the forms) and not all your relatives. (Except IMM 5406, which does require you to list your parents, children, and all siblings.)

Thank you for your answer, that is what hubby said, it shouldn't be a problem, but I had to ask because you know this process and this close up immigration is having of your life, make you wonder if anything that happened could be seen as a something bad for them.

Yeah unfortunately the boy got into trouble on his own, I feel really sorry for my husband right now.

We have no kids together, maybe in the future ;D.
