Hello everyone!
need help in regards to sponsoring my wife.
I am Canadian citizen living in the UAE and have a non resident status since I left. I got married abroad in 2012 and have 3 children together who are all Canadian citizens. My wife only has a Canadian visitor Visa valid for 5 more years. We are planning to move to Canada(Montreal) in the next few months as I did loose my job recently. I have enough savings to support the family and own 2 properties in Montreal that generate revenue from rent. Will I be able to start the sponsoring process from outside Canada and then travel in next few months to complete it there? Can she complete any requested medical...etc in Canada even if the application was made from outside?
She would need to enter Canada with her visitor visa, not sure if that would create a confusion at IRCC?! Will she still require to apply for the travel exemption from IRCC if she’s travelling with me and the kids?(immediate family member with proof of relationship).
And finally is it worth applying through a lawyer’s office, ie: CanadaVisa team. Any advantages on paying the extra fees?
Thanks for your help!
