Dear friend,
I am a permanent resident of Canada living in Quebec with my children.
Please advise whether can I sponsor the father of my children or ask for a multi visa on the name of minor children if he is not my spouse?
Thanks in advance.

You cannot sponsor someone under family class who is not a family member. If your children's father is not your husband, common law partner, or conjugal partner then no, you can't sponsor him.

Thank you. And what about just a visit invitation?

Yes he can apply for a Temporary Resident Visa. You cannot sponsor him for this visa. He must apply. To be approved he will have to show sufficient funds and ties to his home country. You can write a letter of invitation to him to visit his children though.
