Sponsoring single parent questions

Hi,

I am looking at sponsoring my mother but when I was trying to calculate my family size

I see this:

your parent or grandparents’ separated spouse?

My mother has divorced and single for more than 20 years,
My Income is good enough for 2 persons but missing a little bit for 3 persons. Do I still need to put my father on the app? I am not even sponsoring him and will never sponsor him.

Does anyone know about that family size thing,

There is nothing in there about including ex spouses, so not sure why you think you would need to include him.

Because they have mentioned the
your parent or grandparents’ separated spouse
I thought it meant spouse already separated.
Maybe I misunderstood that

Separated = still legally married. She isn't.
